Uniting Our Players Through Futsal

Last Sunday, February 2nd, we hosted our Semi-Annual FC Bayern Futsal Festival in Charlotte, bringing together over 100 players and their families from Belmont, Charlotte, Mooresville, and Raleigh for an exciting afternoon of futsal action!

This event is much more than just games; it’s a chance for our players to connect, compete, and enjoy the sport in a pressure-free environment. The BFA Festival is all about building camaraderie across different training locations while giving players valuable game experience at a high level of intensity.

Players were randomly divided into teams and competed against each other in a round-robin format, home and away, playing 10-minute matches. The non-stop action created an electric atmosphere, allowing players to showcase their skills, decision-making, and creativity without interference from coaches. We firmly believe in letting players take control of their own game, encouraging on-the-fly decision-making and leadership rather than structured coaching during these matches.

Beyond the competition, the festival was also a community event, bringing together families and spectators to celebrate the sport we love. We provided complimentary snacks and drinks for the kids, as well as adult beverages for parents and spectators, making it a relaxed and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

We love this event because it provides players with a fast-paced, high-energy setting where they can develop not only their playing skills but also their social skills. The festival fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence, reinforcing how futsal is not just about technical ability, but also about thinking, adapting, and growing on and off the court.

High Energy & Intensity on the Courts

The tournament-style event saw players randomly divided into teams, ensuring a mix of ages and skill levels. The intensity and effort displayed were outstanding, with players showcasing their creativity, technical ability, and passion for futsal.

Parents and families also played a huge role in making the event a success, bringing positive energy and support throughout the day. It was inspiring to see so many families from different training groups come together to enjoy the game.

Champions & Finalists: Who Took Home the Titles? 🏆

This festival wasn’t just about fun—it was also competitive! Each division featured highly contested matches that pushed players to perform at their best. Here’s a look at the winners and finalists from each category:

Futsal for a Cause: Giving Back Through Our Donation Drive

A huge thank you to all the families who contributed to our donation drive!

Our initial goal was to collect 125 pairs of shoes, in honor of FC Bayern’s 125th anniversary, and we are thrilled to share that we have surpassed that goal—reaching 126 pairs so far!

However, the need doesn’t stop at 125. There are many more children who could benefit from a proper pair of futsal or soccer shoes, and every extra donation makes a difference.

If you still have shoes to donate, we encourage you to bring them to your player’s next training session. Let’s continue giving back and help even more kids gain access to the footwear they need to develop their skills and enjoy the game they love.

Thank you for your generosity and support in making this initiative a success! ❤️⚽

Looking Ahead

This festival was a great reminder of how special our futsal community is. We are so proud of the players for their efforts and grateful to all families for their ongoing support.

Training continues across all locations, and we’re already looking forward to our next festival later this year. If your player enjoyed this event, make sure they keep attending training and games to continue developing their futsal skills!

🔴⚪ We currently have year-round futsal training in four locations: Belmont, Mooresville, North Charlotte, and Raleigh/Cary. If you’re looking to increase your player’s involvement in futsal, we have multiple training options available.

Visit www.futsalta.com to learn more about your options.
